In current engineering polymers, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has the highest impact toughness, and its impact strength is 10 times that of PE100 at room temperature. The impact resistance performance improves as the ambient temperature drops.
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand the vast majority of corrosive media and organic solvent erosion. It can be used in concentrations of less than 80% concentrated hydrochloric acid and less than 75% concentrated nitric acid, and its performance is quite stable.
